These paints are perfect for a variety of projects, including mixed media. The texture is fun to work with! The consistency will work with stencils that are not too delicate or detailed. The set includes a good variety of colors that are easy to mix. As a mixed media artist, these will add a nice texture to my work.

I purchased these paints for $24.49. There are twelve small jars of textured paint which are filled about halfway. There is supposed to be one ounce of paint in each jar, which seems accurate. I appreciate that they're not filled to the very top because it makes the paints easier to use and mix.The twelve shades of paint include the basic colors and a few others. Because we use more paint when it's thicker and textured, one ounce of paint doesn't go that far. But the amount itself doesn't matter if you use these paints for very small-scale paintings or mixed media. These paints also perform exceptionally well with stencils. Additionally, you can use these paints on objects but prep the surface accordingly.I usually mix my own textured paint. I use professional-grade paints and products. However, for very small areas you can get away with this OR you can mix it with other higher-grade products. For children and new adult artists who want to experiment with textures, this is an excellent starter kit and the $24.49 price is impressive, considering that you get everything you need to complete two small projects.The paints themselves are okay. Kids will love these. When I use texture, I want more definition. These paints have the texture of very fine sand, so would work ideally on landscapes and plants and with stencils.For $24.49 you can't really go wrong. The set also includes two 6-inch by 6-inch stretched canvases, a wide brush, two smaller brushes, a small trowel, and a small palette, so a beginner would have a place to mix the paints. There are even two nails included for hanging the paintings, when completed. In essence, you're getting everything you need to complete two pieces of art.For kids and young teens, this would be a fun kit and would provide entertainment for a few hours. Grandparents, if you're looking for a project for visiting grandchildren, this might be perfect, depending on the child. Adults, if you want to try out textured paint, this is an excellent opportunity, given the price.(If you want to do a larger painting, or cover a larger surface, you might consider buying more than one kit. This kit would NOT be a good kit to share between two children. There's not enough paint for two children and it could become messy if they had to share).

Love these. Received them yesterday and they worked very well. I use gourds in sculpting as well as jars and vases. This is fantastic. (with gourds you must sand on the part of the gourd before you apply this paint. ). The colors are very vibrant.

This, it is a nice way to add texture and depth to an acrylic painting. I love how easy the colors mixed and they applied fairly well though it does take a little bit of practice. I was able to mix colors effortlessly.
