The 2 pack of journals are 100% cotton, cold pressed and the pages lay open easily! Great for mixed media as the pages are quite thick. What more could you ask for? Oh did I mention they are priced just right!

Honestly, I did not expect much from these watercolor journals, especially because they were so reasonably priced, but I'm a sucker for an art journal so I took the leap. The paper is very nice quality, doesn't buckle out of control when wet, and you really can paint on both sides of each sheet. The fact that they lay flat when open is nice and makes it easy to paint across two pages if you want. The finish is very smooth, like hot-press watercolor paper, which I like, but if you're looking for a paper with some "tooth", this isn't for you. Otherwise, I highly recommend these and I will definitely be purchasing them again.
