EXPLORER Watercolor Kit - With Refills

This is a fun little watercolor paint kit, perfect for gift giving to the artist in your life. You get so many things and they all fit in the little pouch so perfect for portability. The watercolors are true to the tube and true when put on paper. Very easy to mix, and the little rectangle pan is the perfect spot for mixing them. I really like the water pen, it "rinses" easily on the sweatband that is provided. It is great for blending colors and thinning them for different shading.My only issue is trying to figure out how to clasp the sketchbook to the paint container; its not very comfortable to paint as shown in the ad photo.At just under $27 I think this is a great value for the money and as I said, would make a perfect inexpensive gift for someone.

Love this mini watercolor art kit so much! It’s the perfect companion for my upcoming summer travels. The compact size fits easily into my bag without taking up much space,making it ideal for sketching and painting on the go.I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the materials included. The paper is thick and feels like proper watercolor paper,holding watercolor paint well without becoming too flimsy. Another nice surprise was that the kit not only includes a pencil,but also a 0.1 mm super fine tip pen,which is excellent for drafting,outlining,and adding details before painting.The colors are vibrant,and the refillable design makes it practical for continued use instead of being disposable. I’m looking forward to drawing little moments,scenery,cafés,and travel memories along the way during my summer trip.

What a lovely little kit! I have used mine three times so far,just to give it a good test,and I truly love it. It's not only a cute,novelty set,but it's actually functional and convenient to use as well. The paints are surprisingly high quality and I loveee the watercolour journal! My only complaints are that the squares in the wooden pallet are hard to clean when paint gets stuck,and the pockets in the carrying case aren't super sturdy as one of mine now has a hole in the net. That's ok though, the carrying case still holds everything. Overall a great little addition. I got mine so I stay off my phone and so far it has worked, this set is hard to put down.

The little case fits an A6 sketchbook which is fantastic, so at the moment I am using it for that and to carry some fineliners pens with it.

The colour is a lovely soft yellow and I love it.

Can I just say wow!! I never know what quality im gonna get in these types of kits,but I was blown away by this one.Sure,it isnt professional quality paints and tools,but I dont think thats the demographic for this. It is perfect for beginners or those who just want a convenient way to paint on the go.The colors are vibrant and very easy to mix and paint with. It all stores very nicely in the little travel bag as well. Couldn't be happier

I really like this travel set. I think the paint is good quality. I like how dense the pigment is so you don’t have to use a lot of paint so it goes a long way and doesn’t require a lot of water. I did the two pages (pic) using about half the water in the water reservoir. I was surprised how small of detail I was able to get with the water brush. I like that they included a pencil that properly fit in the bag. I’ll be adding a little pencil sharpener to the kit. The wrist band was surprisingly useful and easy to wash and let dry. The watercolor paper is nice and thick and doesn’t curl or ripple when wet. It dries fairly quickly so if you have to end your painting session quickly,it will be mostly dry. I’m planning on putting this set with my camping gear so I like how portable everything is. I like that there’s a handle to easily clip it on my bag.The only things I don’t get about this kit is why they added the clip and why they put in the wrong directions for the kit. The clip and directions are for a different set. I would’ve preferred the clip and magnet they have in one of their other sets that way I could attach the clip to the paint set then clip it to the paper.

I love this little travel watercolor set! It comes with all the basics you need for painting small watercolor paintings on the go. I love the little zippered fabric carrying case that holds everything you need in one small easy to pack bag. It includes more than other small traveling sets that I have purchased in the past. Besides the carrying case this set has some things that my other sets have not. Included is small container with 3 parts. One contains refillable empty paint pans that you can fill with the tubes of paints that come with this set as well as mixing trays. The tubes of paint are good quality paints with a good selection of colors. (previous kits I have purchased all contained prefilled pans and if you used up all the paint in the pan,there was not way of refilling them included in the kit). At first I was baffled by the included wrist band but it turns out to be as useful as paper towels to wipe off the your water filled brush to allow for changing color. I personally don't love painting with the water filled paint brushes so I will bring along another paintbrush or two,a vessel for holding water and a larger watercolor paper pad. I already have another small pad I can still fit in the carrying case. This has been the perfect pastime for me during downtimes while traveling. I definitely recommend this set and the price is very fair for what all you get!

This is a great little portable sketching kit. It has all you need to get started sketching on location: pencil and eraser,fine liner felt tip pen,water brush,sketchbook,watercolor paints and a small palette box. There is also a clip,though it doesn’t open wide enough unless you’re closer to the middle of the book,and a wristlet to dab your brush on. Everything fits neatly into a zippered pouch,which has mesh pockets to keep things organized. The palette holds 12 colors,and the 12 tubes included give a nice range of colors. The paints are vibrant and rewettable. They will last several refills of this palette. I really enjoy urban sketching on location and taking my kit with me when I travel. This kit is great for that purpose.

This is an awesome little all inclusive watercolor set. The carry case is very well made and feels durable. The zipper has a smooth slide action,and it has a carrying strap on the side. Included in the bag are: a 12 pot pallet with a mixing/blending tray which closes and seals securely. An assortment of 12 watercolor tubes to refill the pallet according to needs. The color variety is impressive and watercolor quality is very good. The journal is hardbound and has an elastic to keep it closed. The paper quality is good (unsure of paper weight) and accepts watercolor without bleed through. There is a clip to keep your pages open. A pencil,an eraser,a fineliner,and a round tip waterbrush. And finally,a terry cloth wristband to blot and clean your brush. I’m really impressed with this little travel kit and it inspires me to take it along on trip for brief moments of creativity. Highly recommend as a good value for the money

This mini watercolor set is the perfect travel companion. It is small enough to tuck into a bag and take anywhere, but the quality feels good enough for projects beyond quick little sketches. I love being able to bring painting supplies with me wherever I go, and the included carrying case makes that easy and organized. The paints are is a secure sliding lid box.
A nice bonus is the paper that comes with it. It is thick enough to handle wet-on-wet painting without curling up like it is trying to escape the project. For such a compact set, it packs a lot of creative potential.

This travel watercolor set is exactly what I was hoping for-compact, thoughtfully designed, and perfect for creating on the go. Everything comes neatly packed in a sturdy box, and the included pouch is fantastic. It has two mesh pockets that keep all your supplies organized and easy to access without taking up much space.

The color selection is excellent, with plenty of beautiful options to work with. The mini watercolor palette is well designed, featuring refillable pans and a couple of built-in mixing areas, which makes it very functional for such a small set. It also includes tubes of paint for refilling, which is a great bonus.

One feature I really appreciate is the wristband-it's such a clever addition for cleaning your brush without needing a bunch of paper towels. Small detail, but super useful, especially when you're out and about.

I tested the colors in a small Funto journal and another journal, and interestingly, the colors appeared brighter and more vibrant in the Funto journal. It was fun to compare and see how the paper affects the results.

This truly is a grab-and-go set. There's even room in the pouch to swap out the small journal for a slightly larger one if you prefer, which adds to its versatility.

A couple of small notes: the instructions seem to be for a slightly different version of the set, but honestly, I prefer this design and had no trouble figuring everything out. Also, you may want to add a small pencil sharpener to complete the kit.

Overall, I am delighted with this set. It's a wonderful option for beginners and a great portable solution for practicing watercolor wherever inspiration strikes!

At around $30, this set is such a great value. It comes with 12 watercolor tubes of paint, a small travel palette with several dividers, a travel brush, travel sketchbook, pencil, pen, clip, wristband, and case. The paper in the sketchbook is super thick and feels like it is very high quality. I think that it will hold up well and not curl when managing the water inherent with watercolor painting. The color selection is great for most paintings and the colors are pure enough to permit simple mixes. I look forward to painting some landscapes in the included sketchbook. I also like to try painting techniques that I find on TikTok and will enjoy creating small paintings to test out those techniques. I like how easily everything fits into the travel case so this can truly be a portable set that I can use on the go.
