This Friday’s Theme: Your Favorite Food
For this Watercolor Friday, we chose a subject with plenty of color and personality: our favorite foods. A piece of fruit, a buttery croissant or a glazed donut can hold all the detail you need for a small painting.
Think of dusty pink in a strawberry, warm amber in a drizzle of honey or the pale inside of a fluffy pancake. Gentle washes and a few darker edges can suggest the textures that make each bite familiar.
A Bite Worth Remembering
Choose something you enjoy and spend a little time looking at it. Notice the seeds, folds, shadows or shine. Let the colors move freely, and keep the details that make the subject feel like yours.
